Osnivanje kompjuterskog centra u centru građanskih aktivnosti

Problem

Backo Gradiste was unable to offer sufficient IT access for its citizens, few of whom have their own computers. The elementary school, with only 4 computers, could not accommodate holding regular computer classes. The school’s director and the IT teacher developed a plan for holding computer classes in the Backo Gradiste Community Center, located just across the street, but the facility lacked a proper space, computer equipment, and a network for Internet.

Rešenje

The Community Center was expanded, a heating system installed, and the facility secured with safety bars on the doors and windows. Furniture, 14 computers, and an Internet server were installed.

Uticaj

Equipping Backo Gradiste community center with 14 computers and needed furniture improves the quality and amount of services offered to its 1,165 citizens, consequently intensifying civic activities and facilitating communication with other institutions, donors, and associations. Regular Internet access and computer classes organized for students and adults helps increase the community’s computer literacy and IT skills.
